Moon Valley Organics

Being a mama is the most amazing thing in the world. We shower our little ones with all the love and attention they deserve but sometimes we forget to take care of ourselves. At Moon valley organics they have a variety of lip balms, salves, body bars and more to pamper yourself and allow you to have some much needed "me" time.  Their products are all organic and are also gluten free and non-gmo!

I was sent three of their products. The Velvety Vanilla Herbal Lip Balm, Moon Melt Lotion Bar, and the Baby Bum Balm. ( because of course we can't forget the baby) 

I have been using the Lip balm for about a week now and I absolutely love it! It is made from cold pressed oils and beeswax. It has helped heal my chapped lips from the winter cold so much better than any other balm I have ever tried. It also doesn't leave my lips feeling sticky and waxy like other brands do, and it smells amazing! So if you're in the market for a new lip balm to try, I highly recommend this product. You will be pleasantly surprised and your lips will thank you.

I was so excited to try the Moon Melt Lotion Bar. It comes in its own little tin and is so cute! The tin makes it easy to throw in your diaper bag or purse for when you are on the go. You could also recycle the tin and use it for so many things once the lotion bar is gone. The bar is a lovely lemon-vanilla scent and is very calming. My first impression was that the lotion didn't soak into my skin right away as a normal lotion would. It had kind of a greasy feeling on my hands. However after a few minutes the greasy feeling was gone and my hands felt great. This bar is perfect for dry hands because it does a great job at getting the moisture deep down in to your skin and not just sitting on the top like a normal lotion. 

Last but not least is the Baby Bum Balm. I have always been very picky about what diaper creams I would use on my son. I didn't want chemical filled creams touching his most sensitive areas. this product is all organic and contains no zinc, which is found in most diaper rash creams and is known to cause cancer. This Bum Balm is more of an ointment than a cream and is quite oily.  I found that a little goes a long way with this product. It helped clear up a rash my son had over night. The only downside to this product is you have to squeeze very lightly. If you squeeze to hard then a ton of the balm comes out of the tube and makes a huge mess. Overall this product is great. It is meant for diaper rashes but it could also be used on dry skin.

Jack n Jill Natural Toothpaste

When it comes to parenting, getting your kids to brush their teeth can be a struggle. I know my little guy hates it with a passion. Because brushing his teeth is such a daunting task, I want to make sure that the products I use on him are as safe as possible. I would feel horrible if I was forcing "poison" into his mouth on a daily basis just to get it done. Let me introduce you to Jack N Jill. Jack N Jill toothpaste is all natural with organic flavoring and calendula. It contains no sugar, no preservatives, no fluoride, and no coloring. What makes this product more amazing is that it rates a 0 on the EWG database. That's the safest you can get! The toothpaste we had been using that claimed to be organic had a rating of a 2. While not horrible it's still not good! We received the blueberry flavor. It smells and tastes so delicious! We also received a bio toothbrush which is made from non gmo corn starch and is biodegradable and compostable! Can it get any better than that?! I highly suggest Jack n Jill toothpaste. Tangled Tantrum

Nothing is cuter than a little boy with long hair, but with long hair comes tangles, and lots of them! Not to mention his hair is curly too. When it's time to brush Chandlers hair after his bath every night it is always a pain. Well, I finally found an amazing solution. Meet Tangled Tantrum. Tangled Tantrums Detangling & Conditioning spray is a miracle when it comes to my little guys goldilocks. Seriously, it allowed the brush to flow through his hair like a knife through butter. And not only does it smell delicious, it leaves his hair feeling so soft. We all know that we worry about the chemicals that are in the products we use on our littles. No worries! Tangled Tantrum products are alcohol and paraben free! I went to look them up on the EWG database only to find that they have not yet been reviewed. I am curious to know what their product ratings would be. Regardless, I am so excited to use this spray on C's hair every night as part of our bedtime routine.
